Reflecting on the design philosophy of Northskull to construct directional pieces for the modern man, the Arctic Necklace was created as the statement piece of the NS_01 collection to showcase the exceptional craftsmanship and design integrity of the brand.

As “North” is inherently synonymous with positive energy and a guiding force that shapes the world, we looked to the natural beauty of the Arctic as inspiration to design an innovative piece of jewellery that encapsulates a modern vision of luxury to appeal to men with impeccable taste.

Using moodboard images of the Arctic as a starting point to bringing the Arctic necklace to life, we looked at the spectacular formations of the ice that resembled spikes to incorporate an architectural detail to the necklace. To refine this feature and to replicate the radiance seen on ice when light hits the element, we incorporated a structured approach for the spikes on the necklace, using 3D geometric shapes as a reference. Finally, to add a distinctive Northskull twist on the Artic necklace, the Northskull emblem was integrated into the piece along with an arrow cut out medal to create a striking symbol for a luxe finish.
