Introducing the Untitled Collection
Beginning with the idea of the “Impossible Shapes” that symbolise the unity of lines that fulfil triangular and quadrilateral profiles despite the perception of being beyond the bounds of possibility, the chain links are also the connecting factor that represent the union between different groups of people and cultures. This approach is further explored with the Woto cuffs and rings where the crisscross pattern is the central design element that enhances the appearance with an elegant decoration.
Discovering new artistic techniques to construct men’s style staples in an exciting manner, a new texture is introduced through the innovative rubberised finishing on the chain bracelets as well as the updated Igun Trouser Chain to set them apart from traditional metallic pieces for an accessory like no other.
A vast range of semi-precious stones also feature throughout the “Untitled” collection for a poetic interpretation of the combination of colourful materials displayed in remarkable and unexpected ways. From the vibrant green hues of African turquoise, matte labradorite and kambaba jasper stones to the earthy tones of bronzite, Picasso jasper and matte tiger eye stones, as well as the striking blue shade of lapis stones and more used in macramé bracelets, luxurious rings and masculine necklaces, these contemporary creations are offset with a characteristic Northskull twist to further the dialogue between visionary designs, luxe materials and quality craftsmanship.
With a quote from a renowned Maya Angelou poem engraved on a pin in the collection as a singular statement, “just like hopes springing high, still I’ll rise”, the “Untitled” collection name is derived by the notion of a starting point or a foundation to build upon where there is an opportunity to tell a fascinating story though truly stylish and wearable accessories that convey a message of hope.
